# ARABASCATO CORCHIA HONED KITCHEN

Another well-known white Italian marble from the southern Carrara region of Italy; the quarry located south of Carrara; this marble is one of the oldest and most well-known Arabescato types, with elliptical boulder-shaped veins of grey or blue grey on a cream to white background. When hunting for the ideal block, Corchia (pronounced Corkia) is one of the most common varieties. However, it is also one of the most varied in quality; as such, if you find a block that makes you queasy, you should acquire it right away because they are not common.

  

This natural stone, Arabescato Corchia is appropriate for interior and exterior applications such as flooring, walls, vanity tops, and stair covering in both private residences and public structures that see moderate to heavy communal use. The stone finish and material should be chosen to complement the region to which they are being applied.
