Oregon Falls Quartzite Kitchen

Surrey, United Kingdom

Our Installation Story

This

Surrey

project successfully reached out to us and said that they wanted their final look of the kitchen to be elegant but not overly decorative. Something that would be visually appealing while standing up to their everyday life.

Oregon Falls Quartzite

offered exactly that. Its soft white background and flowing grey movement introduced the character of natural stone while keeping the overall kitchen bright, spacious and timeless.

The Brief

Combining Natural Beauty With Everyday Practicality

There was a lot of discussion about the stone to use for their kitchen. And after a couple of iterations, they finalised Oregon Falls. Keeping their vision in mind, this is how our stonemasons worked on the fabrication and made it a dream come true in about a week.

Design Priority
The island serves as the busiest preparation space, so both sinks needed to integrate neatly without interrupting the natural stone movement.
Our Execution
Using precision CNC fabrication, both sink cut-outs were carefully positioned to preserve the quartzite's flowing veining while maintaining clean symmetrical edges.
Design Priority
The cooking area required durable surfaces capable of handling daily heat and cooking activities while maintaining a refined appearance.
Our Execution
Matching quartzite sections were fabricated for both the worktops and upstands, creating a consistent finish surrounding the range cooker.
Design Priority
Our clients had made it very clear that they preferred a clean look, less grout. The main focus was to highlight the natural character of the stone.
Our Execution
As our team uses digital templates before fabrication, we get maximum continuous veins in one surface. This way joints were reduced and cleaning made easy.
Final Outcome — Soft grey Oregon quartzite was paired with their white kitchen cabinets. They had an island, worktop and upstand connected with the same slab. The client approved of our team's efforts to make their kitchen look luxurious and immediately recommended us to their circle for upcoming projects.

The Material

Oregon Falls Quartzite

Oregon Falls is one of those Quartzite slabs that often gets mistaken for marble. It has a stunning surface in grey-white with dark grey lines flowing over it which are sometimes diagonally placed or running right to left. This slab is also called Chantilly Quartzite by some suppliers. We have installed it for a wide range of homes in the UK. Some were traditional typical cottages, while others were for modern minimalist upgrades.

Unique Bespoke Designs

Bookmatched Feature Walls

We know that a quartzite slab is naturally found in the earth. This means each and every quartzite slab will be uniquely unique. And because this slab has distinct veins over the surface, our stone experts can create a butterfly-like pattern for feature walls using these slabs. There will be a central point, and to the right and left, the design will be mirrored, creating a stunning focal point. This is called bookmatching. It's popular for wall splashbacks in kitchens, feature walls in living rooms, commercial spaces and also for kitchen islands on the waterfall edge.
