Black Fusion Granite Kitchen

Devon, United Kingdom

Our Installation Story

Some kitchens are designed to quietly complement a home. Others are created to leave a lasting impression. For this

Devon

project, the client wanted the worktops to become the defining feature of the room.

Black Fusion Granite

, with its dramatic ribbons of gold, bronze and ivory flowing across a deep black background, delivered exactly that. By extending the same slab across the worktops, splashbacks and peninsula, the entire kitchen feels connected by nature's own artwork.

The Vision

Allowing Nature to Take The Centre Stage

When working with a material as expressive as Black Fusion Granite, every fabrication decision matters. Instead of forcing the stone to fit the kitchen, we carefully planned the kitchen around the stone's natural movement.

Design Objective
The client wanted the granite's bold movement to remain the focal point rather than being interrupted by unnecessary joins.
Our Execution
Slab layouts were digitally planned so the strongest natural veining flowed across the most visible worktop areas.
Design Objective
The premium sink deserved to complement the stone without competing with its natural beauty.
Our Execution
The undermount cut-out was fabricated with precision so the metallic finish sat neatly beneath the granite, creating a refined contrast.
Design Objective
The peninsula needed to feel sculptural while showcasing the granite's natural movement.
Our Execution
Mitred waterfall fabrication allowed the veining to wrap seamlessly over the vertical edge for a bold architectural finish.
Final Outcome — These worktops are magic! They change how they look along with the sunlight. Clients were quick to notice that when sunlight moves across the veins of the granite, the surface looks like it is flowing. Morning daylight highlights the soft mineral patterns, while evening lighting brings out the rich gold and bronze tones. It was a good decision to combine this slab with dark cabinets and a metallic sink. I bet any viewer can feel the confidence and elegance this Devon kitchen radiates.

We seal it for you before handing over your worktops, but it is required to reseal every two years or so in order to maintain its appearance for years to come.
Absolutely not. You can install this same slab for kitchen splashbacks, islands, and even bathroom splashbacks and vanity tops. Any room in and outside a home can benefit from the durability of granite.
Yes. Granite is highly durable and resistant to everyday wear, making it an excellent choice for kitchens that see regular use.
No. It won't if you have been guided by a good interior designer. If your kitchen is already tiny, choose lighter walls, thoughtful lighting and bright cabinet doors.
