The Challenge

Did Emerald Green Quartzite Kitchen Installation Go Well?

A bold statement stone like this comes with its own set of installation details to get right. Here's how our team worked through each one.

The Problem
The first thing that caught our attention was the colour combination. The client had already chosen cream kitchen cabinets, and Emerald Green Quartzite is naturally bold with dramatic veining. We wondered how this would complement the overall kitchen appearance.
Solution
Our expert team considered the cabinet finish, colour flow and lighting before making a recommendation. By carefully matching the slab pattern and ensuring the green veins complemented the warm cream cabinet tones, we created a luxurious yet harmonious contrast without overwhelming the space. The final result matched the planned colour scheme beautifully.
The Problem
The second challenge appeared during installation. The client had selected a heavy apron-front sink, and the cabinets and drawers were still incomplete. Installing the worktop without proper cabinet support could have affected the sink alignment and placed unnecessary stress on the quartzite.
Solution
Instead of rushing the installation, our team coordinated closely with the cabinet installers to ensure the cabinet support was correctly reinforced first. This ensured a perfect fit without compromising the structural integrity of the worktop or the sink.
The Problem
The kitchen also featured a large preparation island that serves dual purposes. Our fabricators had to seat a wooden chopping board region alongside polished quartzite while keeping both surfaces properly aligned and elegant in design.
Solution
Our fabrication team carefully designed the transition between timber and stone, ensuring both heights and edges matched properly while the polished quartzite surface complemented the chopping board without creating a mismatch in look or function.
The Problem
The final challenge involved four large splashback panels running along the length of the worktops. The walls weren't perfectly straight, and each panel required precise cutting and consistent joints while ensuring corners aligned seamlessly.
Solution
Our fabrication team precisely measured every wall junction and templated each panel individually, ensuring flush corners and consistent surface alignment throughout the installation.
