became an instant stone centrepiece — a massive kitchen island sits at the centre, immediately grabbing a visitor's eye. Dark cabinets provide a strong contrast against the pale marble. Not everybody can handle busy veining, but this family loved the way this slab's dark grey veins had plenty of space to make an impression. The homeowners chose an extra honed finish so the worktop looks softer and balances the dramatic character of the marble.The Vision

This is part of a highly expressive natural marble series, recognised for its pale background and pronounced grey veins. Every stone surface need not be overly glossy to grab attention. Some slabs, like Arabescato Vagli marble, have unique patterns that are easily noticeable — for those slabs, a glossy finish isn't needed for impact.
