kitchen already had a fairly traditional foundation, with warm oak-toned cabinetry and white metro-style wall tiles. The brief here was less about changing the character of the room and more about giving it a surface that could introduce something different. The clients choseBlue Sparkle Quartz
, and it immediately changed the balance of the kitchen. Rather than going for another neutral worktop, the deep blue surface adds colour while the subtle sparkle catches the light without becoming overwhelming. We fabricated the worktops to fit neatly across the existing cabinet runs, paying particular attention to the wall junctions and the clean front edge. The result is a straightforward installation, but one where the choice of stone makes a noticeable difference to the finished kitchen.Design Direction
A Little Colour Goes A Long Way
Instead of introducing another competing material, the blue quartz became the element that tied those contrasts together. The depth of the blue works with the darker accents in the room, while the small reflective particles give the surface some life when daylight or kitchen lighting falls across it.

Blue Sparkle Quartz is an engineered quartz surface designed around a deep blue base with fine reflective particles distributed across the surface. The sparkle becomes more noticeable as light moves across the surface, giving the worktop a changing appearance throughout the day while retaining a relatively clean overall look.
