Flannel Quartz Kitchen With Backsplash

London, United Kingdom

Installation Story

Homeowners of a busy family home in

London

approached us for a white stone quartz worktop which would be okay for everyday cooking. They wanted a slab which would keep them off their hands all the time — cleaning the spills. We sent them some pictures of our previous white surface installations. They liked

Flannel Quartz

. It proved to be the right fit!

The Challenge

Bringing The Design Together Without Overcomplicating The Space

They did like the slab at an instant, but it wasn't a simple installation. This is not a large kitchen, but that didn't make it an easy installation either. Here are some challenges we faced, along with the methods used by our experts to achieve the best result.

Client's Request
The customer wanted the quartz panel to replace a busy-looking wall finish and sit neatly between the worktop and wall units. Even a slightly uneven line would have been obvious across such a plain surface.
Our Method
Before any fabrication began, we checked the wall condition and produced templates that reflected the room rather than relying on standard measurements. This helped the finished backsplash follow the space naturally without awkward gaps.
Client's Request
The hob sits close to the quartz splashback, leaving little room for inaccurate cutting. Everything needed to line up without compromising the overall appearance.
Our Method
The hob opening and surrounding vents were cut in the workshop before delivery. Once on site, installation became a straightforward fit rather than a series of adjustments.
Client's Request
The customer wanted to keep the white tiles already installed while introducing a new quartz backsplash behind the hob. Both finishes had to meet cleanly without looking mismatched or unfinished.
Our Method
Before fabrication, we measured the transition points carefully so the quartz could finish neatly against the tiled sections. The result was a balanced junction that looked intentional rather than two separate finishes.
Final Outcome — The kitchen looks elegant and neat. The client has plans to tile the rest of the wall, but we have matched the hob backsplash with the worktop. Their cabinets are dark so the contrast looks catchy. We like the good balance between practicality and contemporary style in this kitchen. They got a premium interior which looks modern as well.

It has a soft off-white surface. There is no visible pattern on it, just a plain slab, but from close sight, we can see some delicate speckled detailing. It is perfect when we want to create a calm backdrop. If you have accessories that need to stand out, then this slab is perfect. It is a highly practical option for busy households.
