Our Installation Story

Here's how our team approached the installation from templating to the final polish for this marble effect kitchen worktop project in

Cambridgeshire

.

The Challenge

What Required The Most Attention?

Although this kitchen appears straightforward at first glance, several installation details demanded careful planning before fabrication even began. Every cut, joint and pattern direction had to work together to achieve the clean, uninterrupted finish the homeowners envisioned.

Why It Needed Care
It was an L-shaped kitchen worktop. This meant joining two slabs at one common point. If cut carelessly, mismatches would create a huge gap, making it look both ugly and prone to dirt collection and chances of leaks.
How We Achieved It
Using precision digital templates, our fabrication experts carefully mitred every section during installation, creating a smooth transition that appears almost continuous across both worktops.
Why It Needed Care
The splashback contained several socket cut-outs, each requiring millimetre-perfect positioning. Any inaccurate measurement would leave uneven gaps or affect the finished appearance.
How We Achieved It
Every outlet position was captured during templating before the quartz was fabricated. This allowed each opening to sit exactly around the electrical fittings while maintaining crisp edges throughout.
Why It Needed Care
As this slab is a marble-style one with pretty veins on the surface, we made it clear that the vein pattern should look like a real flow from worktops to splashback, and not any random pattern.
How We Achieved It
Before making the first cut, we carefully planned the slab orientation so that the veining flowed naturally across the visible surfaces.
Final Outcome — Customers became fans instantly at the first look of the final installation. The fact that despite all things being white in their kitchen – cabinets, walls, and now worktops too – their kitchen did not feel clinical at all. Despite it being a marble-like slab and not an original marble, the surface looks pretty natural.

Copper Calacatta Quartz

This Quartz slab has a white background with soft greyish-golden veins on top of it. It looks like a marble slab, but not an exact artificial copy. Its white colour and pattern make it a good choice for interior designs which aim at making spaces look and feel luxurious. Best for modern and minimal styles but also works like a charm for classic homes too.

FAQs

Questions About White Quartz Kitchen Worktops

As the background is majority white, you can play around with almost any shade. But the popular choices for cabinets are off-white, grey, charcoal, and wooden finishes.
All quartz slabs are highly non-porous, so you don't need to worry about the worktop being affected from cooking with spices.
These slabs are man-made, so all the slabs will be exactly the same, especially from the same batch at the same supplier.
It is perfect! Adds both elegance and functionality to a bathroom.
Routine cleaning is simple. Use warm water, a soft cloth and mild detergent when required. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemical cleaners to keep the polished finish looking its best.
