Icon brown is fine to medium-grained granite; the brown migmatite of the Precambrian period has densely packed black, grey and creamy white veins. The veining pattern and the base colour of the granite may vary according to the location where it is quarried.  They may show minimal variation in colour, veining pattern, and texture, keeping durability and beauty unaffected. Any fissures or pitting found in the unfinished granite slab are properly sealed with resin to offer a seamless surface without tampering with the quality and character of the natural stone granite. The Icon brown granite is especially suited for countertops, kitchen islands and wall cladding. They exhibit properties like frost resistance when the polish surface remains intact.

Granites are usually subjected to different finishing textures, like honed, leathered, brushed, hammered, polished and matte.  Icon Brown is available with a polished finish and a thickness of around 20mm. The polished finish reflects brilliant colours and grains found deep in the granite, thus demonstrating the brilliance of the natural stone when exposed to light. A polished finish adds a smooth and glossy appearance to the granite material.

The granite contains properties like scratch resistance, stain resistance, and heat resistance, requires minimal care and low maintenance, and is made of highly durable material to withstand heavy loads. The areas of application for icon brown granites are monuments, benchtops, sinks, breakfast bars, kitchen countertops, bathroom vanity, flooring, interior wall cladding, kitchen islands, reception desk and fireplaces. Granite lasts for a lifetime and beyond. Cleaning with a gentle cleanser and a cloth immediately is everything that is required to keep your countertops shining and beautiful.

Due to changes in lighting, materials may appear different in pictures than it does in real life.

Despite our best efforts to display the correct price, the material's pricing is subject to change without notice due to varying shipping costs caused by ongoing wars and international conflicts.

    Composition of Granite

Granite is a coarse-grained, light-coloured igneous rock composed of feldspars and quartz with minor quantities of mica and amphibole minerals. Taking a closer look at the mineral composition is focused on understanding the pattern and colour of the slabs. Feldspar is abundantly found in granite, they constitute pink, grey, or reddish pigments. Quartz is a colourless, transparent mineral. Mica has muscovite and biotite of the mica mineral family sheds a reflective vitreous luster. Amphibole mineral-like hornblende is dark in colour and has a prismatic appearance. Special names are given according to their grain sizes. The large-grained crystals are called pegmatite, and the fine-grained from crystallizing is termed Aplite.

    Maintenance for your Granite worktop

Avoid using string and harmful chemicals, acid-based cleaners, or corrosive scrubs. Using Mild Soap liquid or pH neutral cleaning liquid and a microfiber cloth can get your kitchen or any granite surface to keep looking attractive, & last longer.

The sealant added to the granite gives the more reliable performance of keeping the spillage during cooking from being absorbed into the grains. An immediate wiping is recommended to prolong the life of the granite worktop. Discoloration and marks are a threat to the granite if the chopping board is not in place. Carelessness can make the sturdy stone chipping or stain resistant which could deteriorate a beautiful centerpiece of a Kitchen.
