Quartzite is a natural stone that adds charm and elegance to any living space. Quartzites are formed by the slow crystallization of magma underneath the earth’s surface. It is composed mainly of natural quartz and feldspar, with subtle amounts of organic minerals, mica and amphiboles. Unlike marbles, quartzites are a very low-maintenance choice for your proposed decoration.
The natural stone is devoid of chemicals and highly adapted for hot and cold weather conditions. Quartzite is a sought-after natural stone for a variety of reasons, such as its resistance to corrosion by acidic liquids, its low water absorption capacity, which makes the material resistant to stains, and its polished finish, which gives sophisticated appeal to any given space, apparently with a simple and low-cost maintenance routine.
Quartzites usually go through different texture-defining processes, like leather, flamed, brushed, polished, honed and sandblasted finishes. The quartzite is available in a polished finish with a 20-mm thickness. The polished texture of the quarzite brings out the brilliance and lustre of the smooth surface, making the granite slab look unique and attractive.
The polished texture of the quartzite is remarkable for exterior applications but best complimented if designed as a countertop or flooring. Quartzite is an ideal choice for monuments, kitchen countertops, bathroom countertops, bathroom vanity, backsplashes, bathroom surrounds, flooring, and outdoor kitchen countertops.
